# Terms of Service

These terms apply when you create a Claudech account or use claudech.com, the Claudech chat or the Claudech API (together, the "service"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

## Your account

- You must give a valid email address and keep your password and API keys secret. You are responsible for everything done with your account and keys.
- You must be old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live.
- One person or organisation may hold more than one account only for a genuine reason (for example, separate teams). Accounts created to collect rewards or promotions more than once may be closed and their balances voided.
- Tell us at [support@claudech.com](mailto:support@claudech.com) straight away if you think your account or a key has been compromised. You can revoke keys at any time from the API keys page.

## Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

- break any law, or help anyone else do so;
- create or distribute malware, spam, phishing or content that exploits or harms children;
- harass, threaten or defraud people, or impersonate others;
- attack, overload, probe or bypass the security or limits of the service;
- resell or share API access in a way that hides who is making requests, or use stolen payment methods.

We may suspend or limit an account that breaks these rules or puts the service or other customers at risk.

## Tokens, plans and payments

- Claudech is prepaid. Requests are paid for with Claudech tokens, which you get by buying a token package, subscribing to a plan or, in some cases, as a reward. Current prices are on the [pricing page](https://claudech.com/pricing) and in [Tokens & billing](https://claudech.com/docs/billing).
- Tokens are credits for using the service. They are not money, have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts and are not refunded when an account is closed.
- Purchased tokens never expire. A plan's monthly allowance resets at the end of each billing period, and unused allowance does not carry over.
- **Reward tokens** (for example, for subscribing to the newsletter or following Claudech on social media) can be used in the Claudech chat only. They cannot be used through API keys or the Playground.
- **API keys and the Playground** become available after your first purchase: a token package, a paid plan or a top-up applied by our team.
- You can pay with PayPal, a credit or debit card (processed by PayPal) or cryptocurrency. The accepted cards and coins are listed in [Tokens & billing](https://claudech.com/docs/billing#paying).
- Crypto payments are final once confirmed on the blockchain. If something went wrong with a payment, contact [support@claudech.com](mailto:support@claudech.com) and we will look into it. Nothing in these terms limits refund rights you have under the law where you live.

## AI output

Responses are generated by AI models and can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate. Check anything important before relying on it, and do not use the service as the only basis for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions. You are responsible for how you use the output.

Subject to these terms, you own the content you send and the output you receive, as far as the law allows.

## Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Models, prices, limits and features may change. When we change these terms in a meaningful way we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email or in the app.

## Independence

Claudech is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI or any other AI company. Product names such as Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and OpenAI belong to their owners and are mentioned only to describe compatibility.

## Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. When an account is closed, any remaining tokens are forfeited.

## Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Claudech is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
