Chatbox setup
Chatbox is a desktop and mobile chat app. Add Claudech as an OpenAI-compatible provider.
Before you start#
- A Claudech API key from API keys. API access unlocks after your first purchase.
Add the provider#
Open Settings → Model Provider, add a custom provider and fill in:

If your version has a single URL field instead of host and path, enter https://api.claudech.com/v1. Save, then pick a Claudech model at the bottom of a chat.
Troubleshooting#
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
404 | Host and path together must make https://api.claudech.com/v1/chat/completions |
401 | Re-copy the key without spaces; check it is active under API keys |
402 insufficient_balance | Top up under Billing |
